Of course, employing JailHost will not substitute the safety measures you need to take by keeping your scripts up-to-date and using long and complex passwords, yet it will allow you to restrict any damage to one site only.

JailHost in Shared Hosting

We have included JailHost for all shared hosting packages, so you can protect all of your Internet sites with just a couple of clicks within the Hepsia Control Panel. The option is not enabled by default so as to prevent disturbing any Internet sites where you might want visitors or admins to access content from other folders inside your account, but activating it for all your other websites is really effortless. Unlike various other Control Panels where many domains have their files in the exact same main folder, all domains and subdomains in Hepsia have separate folders, which makes the management and the protection of multiple websites easier. In the unfortunate scenario of a website getting hacked, your other websites will be shielded and we will have several daily backups for the infected one, so that we can restore it to its original state in a matter of minutes.

JailHost in Semi-dedicated Hosting

If you have a semi-dedicated hosting account, you'll be able to activate JailHost with a few clicks in your Hepsia Control Panel since we have included this feature in all of our semi-dedicated plans. It is not active by default for the reason that you might use an application that needs access to other folders inside the account and JailHost could cause problems, but you will be able to protect all other websites by isolating them from each other. This is very easy because in Hepsia all domains and subdomains have individual folders. In comparison, a lot of other Control Panels store the content of multiple sites in subfolders under a primary domain, so just one hacked site there means that all of them will be hacked. With Hepsia, only one website could get damaged and even in such a circumstance, we will quickly bring it back thanks to the multiple daily backup copies which we will keep, so you can go ahead and update it after that to protect it from potential future attacks.
